Professional Learning Engagement Plan

To fulfil the needs of Unit 3 and 4 Art Creative Practice (Accreditation Period 2023 – 2027) an understanding of Fine Art Making contexts, histories and methodologies is essential. Key to the delivery of teaching the creative practice is having experience as an artist; demonstrating an understanding of the way Artists inquire, explore, experiment, refine, and evaluate their work. An awareness of a broad range of art making disciplines that traverse traditional and contemporary methods including, printmaking, ceramics, painting, photography, installation, sound and video art, social practice, performance art and digital art. A finger on the pulse of local art contexts, including exhibitions at the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), artist run spaces, community programs and opportunities to amplify student voice through Visual Arts events/shows.
A developed bank of Artists to offer students as research and an extensive understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander practitioners and their work in both historical and contemporaneous contexts.

Hits: The worked Example

Folio and Body of Work: example of annotation formats, colour coded lens structures, identifiable evidence of the creative practice enfolding as the folio progresses. An example of the way research and experimentation led to a sustained investigation and body of work: Journals from Art School make great references and bridge students understanding the Arts pathways they may follow.
